A few days ago, I had an idea.

Yes, I know, another one. This is probably the work of drinking a cup of tea at the exact moment a three-armed fishman painted the words "i r winner" on the side of a building at the opposite end of the galaxy.

That, or leprechauns. Damn leprechauns.

Anyways, I had the idea that it could be fun, perhaps, to write a different sort of squadron... the non-elite, the poor bastards who are more likely to die one minute into a battle and crash into Executor bridges than actually accomplishing anything.

You can go here (http://www.angels2200.com/) to get a mostly general idea of what I'm talking about... that, or just read it because it's frelling awesome. Ahem.

I was thinking a fighter squadron made up of two types of pilots:

1. The new recruits, lacking experience, skill or pretty much everything and

2. The veterans who, for some reason or another, were put into the squadron in the vain hope the recuits would learn something before everyone is vaporized.


I know the idea is somewhat vague, but that's partly the point. I want this to be a creative difference from the norm, and so want all members interested in it to help decide some of the details.

That or I'm lazy.

I know this could be difficult to actually write, but I believe this could be very interesting and worth it in the end. Besides, I'm sure any Epics member can handle playing a bottom of the rope, likely cannon fodder squadron (probably better than I could even hope to). ;)

Anyways, if you are interested or just want to contribute to the idea, go ahead and post here, PM me, instant message whatsit me... whichever, really.

And feel free to be as creative and imaginative as you want to be. This is really the point of the idea. Well, besides writing an interesting, different and possibly fun story.
