Alright, this is something to keep all slasher fans on their toes in an all-out battle royal between the greats of the genre. So, pick your favorite....
... Mine's Freddy Krueger. The first time I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street, I was totally ticked off by the dreamscape thingy. I mean, it could truly happen within your dream in reality, and though you wouldn't die of it, it scared the sh*t out of me. Of course, Freddy also has the coolest one-liners, where other slashers are stoic and simply head for their target.... "Got your NOOOOOOOOOSE!....
Sorry, couldn't resist :D
So, who would you choose? Or don't you watch slasher-flicks?

I never really liked slasher movies... I prefer thriller.

Why don't you like them? No plot?

Yeah, I don't like when movies have no real plot and show violence too graphically. I have a good imagination. I can imagine what happens when for example a knife hits a body. I don't need to see that.

I liked Freddy Kruger back in the first couple of films. Those were scary. After that he got too silly and wasn't even scary anymore.
Jason scared me too as a kid. I looked under my bed for a very long time after seeing that film.

I used to love them but they have gotten too scary for me.

I actually find horror movies kinda boring, especially the old school ones. I don't find a guy running around in a mask and machete scary at all. And I don't care for gore. Imagination is much better.
'The Ring' and 'The Grudge' were pretty good, though. I think the ghost movies are probably scarier in my opinion.

I just saw House of Wax and I'm forced to agree with Han.
The suspense is far better than the gory slashfest that comes afterward. But after abovementioned movie, I've lost all hope. If you haven't seen it: the director leaves NOTHING to imagination, everytime you suspect the camera will FINALLY turn away, it does not. Only go see it if you truly want to see Paris Hilton die a gruesome death. But I will spoil no more.

Movies that scared me were "What lies beneath", "Don't look now" and "Rosemarie's baby".

They used chocolate syrup for that shower scene in Psycho.
