Unfortunately, the weekend spells the height of my work week. Cursed service industry... And it doesn't help that the National Convention for the Poodle Club of America is in town this week (who would've thought that such a big thing would take place in a backwater area like Salisbury, MD?)

To keep in topic...

I don't work Friday NIGHT!!! I haven't done that in SO LONG! I'm excited, I can check out whats on TV tonight!

As I picked up the food for my co-workers and me from the Chinese Restaurant around the corner I got there a bottle of plum wine as present.

I have Monday and Thursday off!!! UNFRICKENBELIEVABLE! I'll have 2 days off this week! A great start saying I had 5 days off in June.

I also got to talk to my roomate for the first time since May! Got an email from my other roomate which was extremely long but its great to hear from him. And I got another call from a friend back in Minnesota. All these contacts make me incredibly happy to stay in touch with my friends as we are all on summer break. Really starting to miss the group back at college. These simple chats and emails keep me sane in this backwater town in MD.

I got a voucher about 15 Euro from a store here in town. They give out customer cards and for each buy you gather points. Looks that I had reached a certain amount now.

Well my internet provider, Tellus, decided to do some repair work after a fire damaged their telephone and internet lines. Apparently those lines were important and until further notice you can't use ADSL, which is the mode of internet my computer uses, through them because they took them offline.
The good part: I still have dial up! (haven't used it for years, feels strange though) and they won't charge people for the down time!

I had a great porterhouse steak today in celebration (albeit a late one) of Independence Day. I missed it last night to hang out with friends who are shipping out to Iraq soon.

I just got back from a short vacation to Lynden, Washington. Had a great time, found several x-wing books and hardy boys casefiles at a nice price and slept in a Windmill. And now, I've caught up to all the posts I missed!
