Today is an important day in the United States as today is when we remember those who have served or died in military conflicts. I myself am the son of someone who served in the military, so this day is quite meaningful for our family.
I would just like to thank the military of the United States for all the sacrifices they have made for this country, including my great uncle who died serving in World War II.
My family has had almost every generation go into the military, and my generation will be the first in recent memory (going back prior to the Civil War) to not go into the military. My great great great great grandfather (I think thats right) served in the Red Wing Infantry. My father served in the Persian Gulf War as well.
Again, I'd like to honor the men and women of the armed forces for their dedication to this country.
