Yeah.
I'm just posting here to see if I can post on this site.
Reply if you want.

And apparently, It worked

Yeah posting works. Replying still doesn't but it should be back up today.

Aha, this new forum allows me to reply while the others don't.

Must be because this discussion was created AFTER the attack...
Samantha Koortyn

Yeah probably.

Which leads me to believe that all of the old discussions have something wrong with them, like a script change or something. We can reply to new ones, but not old ones.
EDIT:
Is anyone else being repeatedly logged out automatically or is it just me?

Crap, and I wanted to post something for our story.
But anyways, I do hope to have Tales back as good as they were before the attack :)

I'm sure that will take Ezboard quite a while to do. We'll just have to sit tight. I'm not sure, but even though we can't reply to old discussions, we can probably post new ones in Free Zone, etc and post in there normally...hopefully, anyway

Thanks Jana. :]
We can reply to some old topics, I got an error earlier but hit refresh and it showed up.
You're free to post but you should definitely save your work in case it's deleted. A lot of boards are experiencing data loss even now.

I can confirm that. One board I moderate on just now lost most of its posts. Its upsetting, really.

We haven't lost anything new since yesterday, thankfully.
But it is very hard. 4 years worth of work was put into this board. And we were just starting to blossom and be competitive with the big boys. We may never get that back.

Yes, it is very unfortunate. Have you begun saving posts in case this happens again?
Samantha Koortyn

No.

Well, I suppose it doesn't matter now.

Well, you know, competing with the big boys has its advantages and disadvantages. They generally may have a huge number of people posting, but they do mostly tend to be made up of rather transient members, many of whom can’t come close to the quality of the writing around here. They also seem to attract a lot more arguments and dissention. Anyway, it’s easy to find the ‘big boards’, and I rather think that if someone is willing to look around for real quality a bit, rather than simply join the first board they encounter just because it’s big, they’ll also be more likely to actually stick around.
And it’s quality over quantity around here, right? :) The kind of writers you guys probably want to have join, will appreciate this fact. It’s a shame that so much has been lost (if it turns out that it can’t be recovered) but there’s still more than enough left to assure visitors of the quality around here.

You're right of course, Rylander. :]
DarkKnightCuron

It's a shame that those posts can't be recovered but I agree, Rylander. We still have quite a bit here that we can build off of.

They still may be recovered; we don't know yet.

I have some of the old stories saved in Word. Not alone my posts, but the ones of the others involved in it. Maybe I can repost them, if needed. But right now, I'm not willing to give up hope. Let's think positivie.
I have our complete story from Mirrorworld, Sam *hugs*

That's great. *hugs*
And of course, I have every RP post I made on this board except for a few early Battle of Ithor ones. So you and I could even repost taking turns like normal.

I have parts of Ithor too. Maybe we can re-built everything if needed.

Wow... Mirrorworld was just gutted.
That Crossover stayed is amazing.
I hope your history is restored.

We hope so too.

I have to agree about the quality of posts on this board :) . While, of course, I've noticed a certain amount of 'power players', for the most part things are highly balanced, where as most of the 'big boys' are completely out of whack, with every character being not only highly skilled, but so sexy it would send any other person of their race into a frenzy of lust. *rolls eyes*
Did I mention that I'm a little disgusted with most of the 'big boys'? :p
Trust me, you wouldn't be alone in kicking the butt of said hacker. Time to see if I still remember all those years of Karate I took...

When the situation calls for it, it will all come back to ya, Adiar. Karate kinda imprints itself in the back of your head, where you can't readily remember, until an important situation, especially if you were somekind of zealot when it came to karate...like I was
Adiar

Heh, I was a zealot when it came to learning the katas, but I ended up quiting because I hated sparring--I just couldn't get over feeling bad about going to class with the intent of hurting someone. I mean, sure, the pads blocked a lot of the force when you got hit, but it still hurt. What generally happened was that I either got paired against a black belt (and this after not even taking six months of it) and got whumped, or against this one girl, who I totally trashed every time. I think she hit me once in all the times we sparred. So anyways, I felt guilty and ended up quitting since you had to spar to make black belt.
Meh -_-.

I never really liked sparring either but what's the point of learning if you never use it in the outside world where you'll need it the most? I never picked a fight or anything but karate has saved my life once or twice.
Adiar

My whole point behind taking Karate wasn't to learn to defend myself: if it had been I would've put up with the sparring. I did it for the katas, and I was actually quite good at them--I took first place in a Pattern Comp even though I was up against some students who had been taking karate for longer than I had.
But, of course, I can see your point as well. I just... don't like hitting people, or being hit . I jump about 10 feet into the air if someone claps me on the shoulder :P .

Did I already mention a 'welcome back' to you, Adiar?
Might have been wiped out by said hacker.

The hacker must've gotten it.
