Characters in need of a transport or a scout ?

Hello all, I have been trying to figure out if there is any way to fit my character into any story line that is happing on the board. Since he is a scout, he has some valuable survivalist skills that could help out any group and he can provide transport for characters that don't have a starship of their own.
