Orphaned Bat Pups Cared for in Australian Clinic

Awwww I LOVE bats! One of the things I miss about a place I used to live was the bat colony in a nearby park that would come out and fly around the neighborhood in the summer.

We had a bathouse in one of our trees growing up. For fun, we'd go looking for bats and throw stones up into the air to make the bats zero in on them, only to realize oh it's just a rock.

I had been to a "Bat-night" last year. A nature protection organistation offered a walk in the dusk along the river at our town, where a lot of bats live. They had such device, that could "translate" the ultrasonic sounds of the bats to something a human can hear. It sounds as if the bats are chirping like birds.

That sounds really cool. We couldn't hear ours but we could see them dart toward the rocks and then away. I guess we teased them. ;]

As much as this is cute, please don't buy these dogs. They come with serious medical problems, including that their brains don't fit inside their skulls. It causes extreme pain. Look them up on youtube if interested.
