This review will contain minor spoilers. I will avoid to tell too much.
Jumper is the story of David Rice (Hayden Christensen). It starts as David is 15 years old. He is the typical High School loser, who is bullied by stronger boys. But the he learns about a power or skill he has. He can teleport in zero time between all places on Earth. It's enough that he knows how it looks there to get there.
Eight years later David lives in New York and has quite a nice lifestyle he finances with robbing banks, that is quite easy with his skill. But one day a stranger named Roland (Samuel L. Jackson) appears in his apartment. The guy is not from the police and wants to kill David obviously. The young man escapes with a jump to his old hometown, where he meets his old high school crush Millie (Rachel Bilson). To show off and because he has enough money he invites her to a trip to Rome. There he meets Griffin (Jamie Bell), who is a Jumper too. From Griffin he learn about the war between Jumper and the so-called Paladins, their leader is Roland. The Paladins are an ancient group who have hunted Jumper since the inquistion in the Middle Ages.
And then there is David's mother (Diane Lane), who had left his father and him as David had been 5 years old. What is her role in the war...?
"Jumper" is an entertaining movie. Its 90 minutes are quickly over. By the cuts you can tell that it has the same director as "The Bourne Identity". It has also some nice sceneries. The actors were all fine in my opinion. Of course you think in the beginning: "Hehehe, Anakin and Mace.", but you can forget that while watching the movie. And you can see that Hayden can be a leading man with better dialogues. What I missed, was a little more explanation like why do they have that skill or who is behind the Paladins. But the end of the movie lets think that there is the possibility of a sequel. So maybe we will learn more about it.

“Thank you, Commander.” Traven took the data disc with the sim programme, Duval was offering him. “I appreciate that.” His voice sounded obliging, but it was the opposite Traven felt. His internal anger made him want to crush the disc in his bare hand. Wasn’t one invigilator from the ISB enough? Did they need another watch dog necessary to supervise him? Not to mention Jordan and her squadron taking over the whole training.
