*faints* My… XO… is… back…

I saw the movie at the midnight premiere last night, of course, to avoid any spoilers.

I liked the movie, even when I felt a little like at the end of ESB as I watched that it the first time.

But I absolutely want a droid like K2.

And most of all the story was more like our stories that the saga. I want to know more of the character backgrounds.

Also I want all of their jackets. The costume design was fantastic.

What I didn't like were some CGI characters (You know the two I mean) that looked too much like CGI for the Human characters they are.

It made me grin, that Cassian Andor as my initials.

Be nice or I'll forcecast the weather.

I loved the CGI personally. We were both wondering how they managed to find the perfect actor to play that part.

I liked the movie, but didn't care for the end.  But I like how it can literally be viewed and ten seconds later watch A New Hope and it continues perfectly.

And some of ANH gets more sense.

Like Leia's remark that their escape from the Death Star was easy.

And her flat out lie that they were on a diplomatic mission becomes even more blatant.

Re: Sooooo...How about that Rogue One?

I loved the feel of the story, VERY much reminded me of Epics.  The darker grittier
stories of the "unknown everyday rebels" finally being told. :D

LOVED the costumes too!!  I said I wasn't going to make another pilot costume, but man I love those Blue Squadron pilots. :D

I want my own K-2SO too!! Alan Tudyk did a great job. Seriously love this entire cast and what the movie added to the rest of the saga.

Re: Sooooo...How about that Rogue One?

Yeah, that could have been our Rogue Squadron. :)

And I can see that Luke and Wedge named the squadron to honor the heroes of Scarif.

What I really liked that they put in the squadron leaders and pilots from the old movie. And my loud "Biggs!" - shout made the son of a friend, who sat next to me, laugh.

I LOVED the X-wing scenes!!! And yeah, the melding of the new with the classic footage was so nicely done. :D I still need to see it a few more times. :D

And the Corvette pushing the ISD was one of the most awesome battle scene I ever saw.

Re: Sooooo...How about that Rogue One?

That was easily one of my favorite bits of the battle scene!  And though it wasn't John Williams, I am a fan of Michael Giacchino's previous work and thought the music really made it even better during that particular scene following the Hammerhead pushing the ISD.

I liked his soundtrack to the new Star Trek movies too.

Just came home from watching the movie again. I tried to catch the Rebels easter eggs. :D

Re: Sooooo...How about that Rogue One?

There were sooooo many cool ones and I love that Saw Gerrera will be making an appearance on Rebels. :D  Oh and reading the Visual Guide and other things, apparently my darling Cassian was involved in several other incidents that I am hoping they will elaborate on and make canon in the future including one with my favorite Corellian senator. :D

Re: Sooooo...How about that Rogue One?

I was initially upset that it was taking place before ANH because it wasn't about the Rogue Squadron. I loved the book series and wasnt sure what to think about the story of the founders of Rogue Squadron. Then I saw the movie and was rather impressed! I would have seen it a second time already but bad weather nixed that idea.

I also loved the droid, K2
