Vorzyd V

A shootout and an explosion has rocked the storefront district of the planet's capital city, causing several deaths and many injuries.

The tragedy happened in front of a sidewalk cafe where several patrons and citizens were enjoying their afternoon caffas when witnessses reported seeing a suspicious humanoid open fire on one of the cafe's customers. The customer, unknown at this time, did not retailate but instead took cover along with the rest of the panicked crowd, overturning tables and knocking over chairs.

From what has been pieced together by Vorzyd V's authorities, an explosion then immediately took place. It has been confirmed that the explosive was a large shrapnel grenade– or possibly a bomb– which was responsible for the deaths of several cafe patrons and citizens. Several of the injured have now been taken to local hospitals for treatment.



As far as motive, authorities have yet to decipher as to why this attack has happened. There has been rumors abounding that the cause may be tied to Bragga the Hutt, the alleged gangster who has been accused on several occasions with laundering funds from several gambling houses on Vorzyd V. There have been claims the Hutt may have been targeting another member of a rival gang or syndicate, although we are still investigating. It has also been noted this incident may be the result of a long time rivalry between Hutt syndicates as well, but no clues have surfaced to this claim.

Authorities at the moment are searching for the customer in which witnessess have claimed the assassin had targeted. He has not been found in the debris, nor has been noted in hospital records at this time.
