New Republic Headquarters, Coruscant

A statement has finally been released from the Coruscant branch of the Jedi Academy after its clearance from the New Republic. Master Luke Skywalker, head of the Jedi Academy, has dispatched two Jedi Knights to the distant and serene world of Naboo. The cause of this investigation is classified but it has been rumoured among the Jedi Academy that communcations have broken down between King Tymen and the New Republic. Master Skywalker has denied any interviews at this time.

If the rumours are true, then there is cause for the Jedi to be dispatched, although there seems to be no reason as to why King Tymen would sever ties. Last transmissions from the Naboo have stated that Tymen was planning to appoint a new senator to represent his planet in the senate. Whether that has happened it has yet to be determined.

The last time transmissions from the Naboo were severed, the Trade Federation– under the rule of Nute Gunray's grandson, Nomm Gunray– launched an invasion against the planet, claiming revenge for his grandfather and to reestablish the Trade Federation to its former power. The attempt failed as Rogue Squadron and the Jedi attempted a counter-attack and were victorious. Nowadays, the Neimoidians no longer are involved in any political agenda, anymore. The Viceroy of the current Neimoidia has issued a statement of no involvement by them when the sudden news of the blackout occured.

The GNN will keep up to date and attempt to interview the two Jedi when they return from their investigations.

In other news concerning the Jedi, Master Ranzen Elara has been appointed as chief investigator of the now called "Rogue" scandal. Master Elara was the main Jedi responsible for arresting and bringing in the Rogues and will collaborate with the NRI in this investigation. For the moment, Elara has denied any interviews at this time.

Stay tuned for more GNN news.
